because im unhappy in the evo. i dont want to put more miles on it, more wear and tear on it and depreciate the value. if the '15 is going to be a complete re-vamp, i dont buy the first year model of new vehicles. thats when most of the issues occur and they fix them in the next year model.

that and i know i like the 2nd gen, why wait for a 3rd gen and find out im unhappy in that because its not the same?

idk, maybe im the only one who understands my point of view, but im stubborn like that lol

See if you can find a nicely equipped '13. You'll miss the auto dimming comp/temp/camera mirror you had in your old truck. I know I miss it. Just my .02 cents.

Well the good thing is if you buy the 14 and next year Toyota releases a new Tacoma, with the outstanding resale value, you won't lose much upgrading. Also, we don't know for sure Toyota is even redesigning the Tacoma. I wouldn't be suprised if Toyota waited until 2016 so they can see how the new Colorado sells and what they need to improve on the Tacoma to keep it at #1.

Just curious, what were the details of the Evo? I'm kinda opposite, my brother got a Tacoma and I really liked it but now that I own one I miss having a quick car. I just like being lower to the ground.

details as in what was done to it?
mostly stock. ETS v2 extreme exhaust, DEPO upper intercooler hard pipes and wheels/tires. fairly low mileage for a 2010. only 20,843 miles on it. i didnt beat it up. only one trip to the drag strip, and one very short road course event but that was it.

i loved and hated that car. very fast and very good handling, but parts on a normal car that are cheap/easy to replace, like a serpentine belt for ~$20 on a tacoma is over $300 on the evo and its a bitch to get to.

idk, ill miss it and i wont. i just know im much happier in a truck, especially now that im back in my 3rd tacoma lol

So funny because i like my tacoma but missing have a low fast, cast car, and have always wanted a WRX/STI or Evo, and have been contemplating selling the truck to get a car again… ahh the struggle
