I feel like this info has to be here somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Thinking of going from stock size 265/70/16 tire to a 265/70/17. Would probably sell the current setup lock stock and barrel so that the buy has mounted, balanced wheels with fully functioning TPMS. I assume I just need to purchase new sensors and have them programmed, but is there any issue with going up a size as it pertains to TPMS? Will I retain all the functionality, i.e. warning light and current pressure read out in the dash info?

As far as i know (and from when i switched to 285s), no issues with tpms.

I kept stock ones, but from others i havent heard of any issues if replaced, and new ones programmed into system.

Tpms will function perfectly normal regardless of tire/wheel size. The only complication is with stock toyota sensors - they are specific to steel/alloy wheel types. But, that won't affect you. Almost all aftermarket sensors work on all wheel types.

Mine work fine. Again on stock rims though. Just bigger tires.
