    Well to make a long story short the manager at the local gym pulled the wool over our eyes. Luckily they have a 3 day cancellation. Anyway, how is there pricing set?
    I've been a member for 2 years then took 8 months off. My wife and I signed up tonight. $20/person and $0 signup fee. We wanted to do a 1 yr contract. We get home and on the contract I notice it says 24 months:mad:. I'm gonna go back tomorrow and straighten this out. I'm just wondering what kind of pricing leverage is there for that douche being a sneaky snake?

    $20 a month is pretty cheap regardless if you have a month-by-month contract. Assuming they're not gonna suddenly change the price on your billing without notifing you (that would PISS me off).

    I belong to LA Fitness - which pushes a $75+ monthly membership fee. I was able to get a membership with them for $25 (I refused to pay anymore than that and was ready to walk about the door).

    I had LA Fitness a few years ago & was paying $35 a month for access to everything. $20 is cheap. My gf just signed up with a local gym & is paying $30 a month.

    i dont know the amount of competition Golds has there...but i know here...leverage is slim to none because its the only MAJOR gym in this area besides New Life...

    My roommate is a salesman for Golds here and theyre opening a new gym...they have plenty of potential clients...1 trying to get a discount wouldnt even bother them

    they do however work on commission so the saleman may have done it to up his cut...so at least speak to a manager about it

    Make sure you get the contract changed to 12 month
