Ok awesome. Thank You! I noticed you have done the Stoptech big brake kit from SOS Performance with the slotted rotors. Is there a reason you went with slotted verses drilled and slotted? Also, thoughts on the rear brake conversion? Master Cylinder? I’m trying to decide between Stoptech and Wilwood. Did you happen to make a writeup on your OBA System?

I’ve never done the wrap befor, but I’m assuming it’s just for the Y pipe and not the whole exhaust system. Correct? I will be re-routing my y pipe when I get to the exhaust mod, which is soon

Typically a lot of people shy away from the drilled rotors for offroading because the holes can trap small stones etc. I definitely noticed improved braking performance with the rear disc conversion, my theory on the subject is that when you 500+ lbs to the rear end of the truck that whole " the front end does 75% of the braking " becomes total bullshit because you have completely changed the balance / weight distribution of the truck. Before the rear disc conversion I would notice front end dive on hard braking whereas now the truck stays more level in braking which I attribute to the rear discs performing more work than the drums did.

I do not have a write up on the OBA but I can make a sketch and post it for ya' later.

The exhaust wrap is primarily intended for two things - headers & any odd spots that need heat control. Technically you can use it on anything you want if needed...

I would really appreciate that. Thank You! Also, thanks for your feedback on the big brake conversion. Did you have any concerns with switching out to the Master Cylinder?
Ok. Awesome. Does it help prevent from rusting as well?

Since you seem to know more than I do regarding mufflers, Would you do a dual exhaust with two mufflers and keep each side separate (2 x Singles) or would you do a dual exhaust with one muffler and basically have it look like an X or H (Single in, Dual out)? Which one would be better? Is sound the only difference? I would assume performance would be something different as well. I’d think the side-by-side single mufflers would allow for a less restrictive air path, which in turn would help reduce any backpressure for a possible slight increase in low- to mid-range torque, along with maybe a slight improvement in horsepower. Only drawback would be a deep, throaty tone. However, I was listening to the YouTube video on OEM vs Side-by-Side and it doesn’t seem like it is that much different as far as the deep throaty tone. However, I’m curious if anyone is aware of other differences between the two and why one would be better than the other.

I’m keaning towards wanting this TRD Performance Dual Exhaust thoughts?

The master cylinder swap is 100% necessary when you do the rear disc conversion. The exhaust wrap will provide zero help with rusting, it is only a fire blanket for your exhaust. I would steer away from the dual exhaust because if you start off roading at all you are going to crush your exhaust tips and end up chopping your exhaust right after the axle like 75% of the guys on this forum. If you get into off-roading you are going to want less stuff hangin down...

Well shit...it’s kinda dead in here...might have to take a few new leaps to spice things up. Anyone looking for Solo +2 kit or some stock body panels trimmed for 35’s ?

Well it looks like my next mod is going to be forced due to toasted cats causing me not to be able to pass inspection. Due to CA’s fucktarded CARB certification scam for aftermarket manufacturers there has been a severe lack of aftermarket CARB certified cats until recently. For a long time the only CARB certified replacement cat was the entire OE manifold which are ridiculously expensive so I have been doing a ton of research and luckily a visit to Magnaflow led me to Trevor at RPM fab in Oceanside. Going to use it as an excuse to throw on some headers...fab a set JBA titanium coated short tubes to walker cats and wrap it all up in the same DEI titanium wrap that I have on the Y pipe.

The full skids really trap a lot of the exhaust heat under the truck so I have become a big fan of the DEI exhaust wrap, the titanium wrap goes on dry with no itchy side effects which is well worth the added cost.

Well first tank of gas after the new cats and headers and I gained 1+ mpg curious to see if it bumps up anymore now that the rich condition is resolved ?

Front and rear seats and brackets are all the same. I got them directly from Corbeau - https://corbeau.com/reclining-seats/lg1.html

Make sure you read my post about modifying the seat brackets for the rear seats, the rear seats are not “ bolt in “.
