Not sure what oil filter you were using, just stick with OEM honda filters, never had a problem with them! I had a cb750 fourK, cb1100f, and a cbr954rr! all great bikes! I currently have a aprilia rsv4 factory, outstanding bike!

It was OEM. All oil changes of been down at the dealer. The oil filters are positioned very far down as far as I am concerned. Something flew up we think and put a nice size gash in it. That Aprilia is one bad ass bike!! Very nice.

Really nite picking items you brought up. ? So your Taco didn't have audio controls on the steering wheel? Also, if you want a suv with a bed buy a Ridgeline....If you want a true midsize pickup truck buy a Taco, or for some the GM twins.

...^^^... Have had maybe a dozen different Toyota trucks and a 2014 Ridgeline. The Q/C on the Ridgeline was better and had zero problems with it. It was a little too big to park, ride too soft and didn't like the CD type GPS.

Many of those things were solved in the G2 and if I had a family and did no heavy off-roading, I would buy one. Liked the Ridgeline's 4WD/AWD system on the highway, especially in the rain.

I like the truck feel of the Tacoma and maybe the Ridgeline was a little too refined and plush for me ... great truck tho.

The Ridgeline forum people are very nice, much more subdued and gentle than this place ... TW is more like eating jello shots at a college Frat House.

OP ... You will like your 2017 Tacoma ... love my 2016 Taco and had very few minor problems so far at 7,000 miles and 7 months.

 

I already made the drive wider! maybe when the kids get out I'll have enough room!! lol
