Trying to decide 2020 or 2021. I’m new to the Tacoma. I’m 52 and my mid life crisis has hit me. Getting TRD OFF-ROAD for sure but what packages do I need and what will I want to make this totally enjoyable? Be nice family cause I’m gonna ask lots of questions.

So I was reading a post comparing the OR and Sport. I asked a question at dealership and out front suspension. I was told the OR has independent suspension and the sport may have the wishbone or called something else. Is any of this true.

no. They are identical parts wise only difference is the type of shocks.

Independent or something else? Is it called wishbone?

Never mind Coop. I found it. They both have double wishbone suspension in the front. This just makes me more confused on what I want. 95% of the time is highway miles but I want to do what I want to do the other 5% of the time. Mid-Life crisis. I would rather have it there than depend on myself getting the right setup to play later

Welcome! You'll love the TRD Off Road. I'm not sure what package mine came with (I didn't buy it new, so I'm assuming it's the technology package) but I have dual climate controls, heated seats, and a sun roof. The heated seats and dual climate were important to me because of my significant other who is constantly cold while I'm still too warm. The only thing I wish I had was remote start, but I can add that aftermarket.

Personally, if I were you I'd get the 2020 after the 2021's come out and get a better deal. There's not much dealing going on in the used market right now and I imagine the 2021's won't have much either.

Well boys, I picked up my 21 Pro yesterday. Not bad at all I might say. Gonna love this truck and this forum. Many questions to come I’m sure.
