I've had my 2011 dbcb TRD off road for about a year and a half now. I am just now able to start building my Tacoma. I have been stalking the forum for a few weeks now, great resourse and website!:D

wanting to do a 2-3 inch lift and put some sliders on, I've gone blind reading alot of posts. Due to budget restrictions I'm looking at the OME complete kit for my lift and I like the Demello Sliders (welded) eventually looking for bumpers, tires, wheels, winch, etc...
Anyway looking for some recommendations for local shops that do quality work at a reasonable price to help me with my build... as I have limited mechanical abilities and limited tools:eek:.

    Thanks in advance:)

There are some great forrestry roads around here!

I went to John and Phil's Toyota in Corvallis when I needed my lift installed. There just isn't a great deal of shops like this in the valley. The John and Phil's did an excellent job on my truck. They worked in the leaf spring TSB at the same time and had Toyota pick up the alignment tab afterword.

Best garage I've ever found is your own. Between these forums, auto zone's tool rental program, and paying back yourself 40-60 bucks an hour, you can't go wrong.

Try the Offroad Shop, 9952 SE Ash st, Portland. Very experienced owner/mechanic. The guy can install parts, lifts or metalfab anything. Check out his FaceBook page. As soon as the bodyshop gets done straightening out my dented rockerpanel (2013 Tacoma, 1200 miles, sigh) I'm having him weld on my Stubbs sliders.

Try Precision 4wheel Drive in Clackamas. The put a lift on my Bronco many years ago and I was pleased. They do not do alignments (at least they didn't back then) but right across the street is a shop they recommend. If you take the Mt Hood estacada exit off 205 they are down on the left before the estacada turn.

It has been a while since I have been there and I am probably a year or so out before I can start my build but I will be calling them again when it is time.

Rob's offroad and 4wheel drive is out there too. The used to have a sweet f250 ranger in the parking lot but it has been a while since i have been by. Might give them a call too. I hear 4wheelparts charges more but they would be another shop to look into.

**Just saw date of OP :notsure:, hope this helps:notsure:

I know there is a guy near Corvallis who does most of the lifted vehicles you see in the mid-Willamette valley. I can't remember his name right now, but I'll find out.

On another note, Jones 5 is perhaps the best used car dealer in Western Oregon. Super honest guy, sells quality cars, ect. Kinda off topic here, but if you are in the market I would check him out.

I'd say bring it to me in Gresham, but our dealer hourly rate is steep at $125
I'll do a good job and get your alignment dialed though :notsure:

You should check out the PNW Expedition Facebook page and ask on the PNW section of TacomaWorld. Many members use a DIY shop in Tigard called Gearhead Garage. It's amazing how much help people are willing to offer. And most of us have done the same work you are wanting to do. There are get togethers at the garage somewhat frequently and you could also reserve the time and ask for some help...I know someone will show. Especially if there is beer and pizza involved.
