I’d get another truck if you want a 6 inch lift.

3.5L v6 with 35s is absolutely no bueno

Super Duty can fit 35s stock, 37s with just a leveling kit…

A friend of mine has a 2018 Ram 2500/3500 (can’t remember) with 35s on blocks (good ole country boy) and it rides like absolute ass

I’ll never understand cramming big ass tires and making your truck ride like a wagon. He told me he wants 37s soon.

I mean I’m sure it can be done correctly for the right coin.. the real question is WHY.

If I had to mechanical knowledge / money, I’d engine swap a v8 in the tacoma before doing this crap lawl

Street 4BYs or useless brodozers is a bit ridiculous. Don’t really see the point just to make it it look cool. Well they think it looks cool, I see a hot mess…

It can be done with the right gearing, but won’t be cheap!

@LiftKit wouldn’t even bother with a V8 swap in a Taco, just buy a 1/2 ton at that point, they can fit 35s with a simple leveling kit….and have that V8 or Turbo V6 power. An extra cab 1/2 ton 6.5’ bed isn’t all that much bigger than a Tacoma.

6 inch Douche Bag lift...what else do I need?
You don't need a 6 inch lift to run 35's. I'd look at other options before going the drop bracket lift route........ and this is coming from a 6 inch lift guy!

You gotta ignore the BS. :) Try to see it as entertainment and sit back and laugh. Most all of it is parroting and fear-mongering.

The one thing that is not is that you do need to cut part of a frame crossmember to install the lift (and certainly I understand this can be a non-starter for many people). But SAVE the piece from the crossmember, just in case you ever want to go back to stock or take the truck in another direction, it's only a simple matter of welding it back into place.

For 35" tires you'll want 4.88 or 5.29 axle gears (absolutely 5.29 if you have an auto trans). Your 3.5L will spin the tires just fine with those gears.

And if you didn't click on it already, go back to post #4 of this thread and have a look at what Phenom3030 posted. That is by far the most helpful thread I've come across here on TW when it comes to 4"+ suspension lifts (and without all the anti-DB kit noise too). It's a lonnnnnnnng read though. I made my way through it years ago by reading it 15 or so pages at a time.

My 6” lift with 35’s required cutting 8” from the frame, unbolting parts and bolting on parts. I kept the cut out piece incase I ever wanted to return to stock, along with my other stock parts.

My CV’s are almost completely flat and have ACTUAL down travel. I have shoes for rock crawling and won’t ever extreme off-road my primary daily driver. We have a little thing called floods in my corner of the world.

What would it take to repair everything on a Tacoma 3” lift with 35’s ?

    Frame repair (BMC)
    Firewall repair
    Fenders replacement
    Paint
    ?

I’ve owned a few Tacomas and have gone both ways. Next up…body lifts & wheel spacers, lol.

OP, do your own research, check forums across the web, YT, etc… Read about actual people that have or have had drop bracket lifts. It may or may not be for you ?

I don’t take mine to the mall, just to work primarily : )

^its doable and can be give a great stance and ride IF DONE RIGHT. The big key is research and don’t cut corners, just the frame lol. Then sit back and later the haters hate.
