Was diving down the interstate today and the passenger side roof molding ripped up banging the roof scaring the shit out of me. Also swung all over the back door getting rubber ever where. Anyways the front still clips in but parts of the molding dont lay as flat, is there a good adhesive someone can recommend that wouldn’t damage the paint or rubber?

If your still in your 3/36, take it in and make them repair it. It's a known problem.

My truck also has the same problem, both sides. Started happening in automatic car wash when the dryer was blowing. Would also like to seal these down as well.

I had the same problem. Blew off on the highway. Dealer wouldnt cover it since I didnt have the old one to give back. New one cost $75 and blows partially off sometimes. I remove it before going thru the car wash. I have heard other people say to use silicone caulking but I dont know how well that will bond to waxed paint.

You could always try asphalt based caulking used for roofing. Takes a few days to cure but it’s waterproof and should last for forever.

When I took mine off to install my roof rack they had a couple pieces of shitty double sided tape holding them down front and back. With that being said, I never experienced any issues with them.

I’d probably use 3M VHB double sided tape if I were going to reinstall them. Stuff is awesome.

+1 for quality sticky tape. It doesn’t take gorilla stuff, just something durable and a couple of squares down the length.
