I’m thinking my upstream cat has gone out, or has been out for awhile. Trucks thrown a p0420 code since I bought it. Today I wacked the cat with a mallet and could hear a rattle. Just wondering of anyone has had good luck with an aftermarket cat? My truck is 3.4. 4wd with Cali emissions.

MagnaFlow makes some of the best aftermarket cats. I haven't had good luck with Flowmaster's quality or reliability. I used Catco back in the day and it was also good.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
I have heard that Walker makes a good replacement cat that won't cause issues with OBD.

I use Walker Exhaust on all my vehicles I have had good luck.

Are you looking for direct replacement bolt on retaining the factory type exhaust system.

Revamping the complete exhaust system going to weld on or slip fit mufflers and cats ??

You don`t have a failed gasket causing your code ??

Exhaust shop said no leaks. Good amount of pressure when he plugged tge tailpipe. Banged on the upstream cat and heard some rattling. I still need to find someone with a scanner that reads live data or something to confirm.
