planning to put a 3" lift on her (I think)
Been on TW for a while but I fell off the Radar for sometime(my last post was 03/11). With all the changes that have happened on this forum I feel like a total newbie. Really nice to be back and with all the new builds and techy stuff it’s amazing to see how far Tacoma builds have gone.

I started off with a 2006 PreRunner LB. Had a kid so any mods were put in the back burner for sometime. After she got older and out of the “trash daddy’s car” stage I finally was able to do a procomp spacer 3” lift along with 285x75x16 A/T to keep me at ease. As always though it wasn’t enough. Wanted to add this and buy that but issues began to arise so after 12 years of having her (and getting stuck) I had to make a choice: Either do mods or buy what I really want and start again. So yeah, I got a 2018 DCSB 4x4. And yeah, in white.

The tough part was parting from my 1st one. I hated it, like a amicable breakup of sorts and never seeing each other again. She took me everywhere and anywhere. So to swap her like that was brutal on my part. Didn’t think I would get that attached but after buying my new one I already forgot about her lol I kid, still miss her though. The only issue I had was a bad alternator due to my negligence. So it goes to show why these trucks as so badass; I had to get another one. So I Look forward to seeing your builds and chatting about crap that makes no sense to normal people. Ha! See you all around.C9D5E60D-EDCF-425E-8432-56EAC3DCE3A7.jpg9035A60E-9178-4411-940F-25C43CCD80B4.jpg 8C4929C7-DDD9-4422-A0A0-C58637DDDC05.jpg2BFBE05D-6877-40ED-BE5E-DCB0A0452286.jpg

Nice and welcome back. Love my 06 to much to get rid of it. I'd get another taco but I'll keep this for my son. The next will be a 4x4.

Is it just the pic, or does the 2018 look just as tall as the '06 with the 3" Lift & bigger tires???

Almost. My truck was recalled and they did a new leaf suspension and I noticed a slight drop from the back. To be honest I didn’t look into it since I knew I was going to swap her.
