I recently saw a thread in which a poster listed a dealership with good prices on the extended warranties. I lost track of the thread and would like to purchase a 10 year 100k mile warranty. My wife bought a 7 year 75k mile warranty for $1800 and I'm cancelling that to get the longer (and cheaper one.

Why do you say those days are over? I don’t think it was that long ago I seen another thread mention it.

    I got a 10 year/100,000 bumper to bumper for $1900. But they wanted $4000.

A warranty is just another way for a dealer to get money and, like the vehicles they sell, it's up for negotiation.

Unfortunately if you already bought the truck, I'm not sure how that is going to work.

a few years back toyota corp cracked down on dealerships sell discounted extended warranty's on the internet. they gave told the dealers that the could only sell to walk in customers. there were threads on this about 2 years ago. i got 7yr 75k miles for $700.
