Did you ask them to confirm the tire size that's on there? They look standard size to me.

...and one last undercarriage pic, plug, & tire. Tire pic on my end is large enough to make out the 265/70-16.

Absolutely...Also, when they send picks there is a thumbnail accompanied w/a huge picture. The tire actually looks correct (the writing on the rubber). Looks like 65/70 and not 45/75. But they will confirm that. They are also looking into the spec sheets.

I really liked the OR in my 2009 Prerunner. Locking diff is a poor man's 4wd. Locker allowed me to go places regular 2wd would not.

That's one of the biggest reasons I opted for the OR instead of the Sport. Nice to know it works for you.

Can anyone tell me what you think this truck Blue Books at? I think it has pretty much everything a TRD OR comes with except Display Audio with Navigation and Entune. And quite frankly I personally don't care for that stuff. Although my 20 year old son and wife beg to differ...:)

    Thanks.

There's a whole massive thread about what people paid for new 2012s, look through that and check the major blue book sites. I'm guess a really nice 2012 isn't going to be much cheaper than a brand new truck.

You weren't kidding about big threads. Hard to find comps though. What the heck is this thing called anyway; PreRunner SR5, PreRunner TRD OR, PreRunner SR5 OR, or....?

It's a PreRunner TRD Off-Road. It technically has the SR5 package as well, but that would be required for the Off-Road equipment group.

Looks like a nice truck, and it's definitely a legit Off-Road. I'd say there's not much else to verify other than the price. I'd say if you're getting it for anything less than mid/low 20's, then you did pretty good.

Patrick - thanks for clearing that up. I was calling it just about every name in the book.

I know what we all think of the KBB. But they have it just north of 28k (kinda like most dealerships). I'm looking at just south of 25k including TTL & delivered ~1000 miles.

That's probably a decent price....like I said, not much cheaper than a brand new one unfortunately. Good for us that already own them since they don't depreciate much, sucks for those looking to buy used though.

For $28k I would just get a brand new. You could probably get a 2013 for about that price.

I will probably consider that but right now I've blown a gasket & can't really reason to anything. There is going to be a meeting on this thing in the morning and they'll get back to me. So until then..................

Well...the original sales guy and manager got back to me. Stated everything will be ironed out in the morning. They sounded as pissed as me because of the effort they already devoted to the sale. But then again might just be their strategy for milking a guy out of as much money as possible.

To summarize; I went to another manager and he stated the terms me and the other guys agreed to were impossible (the other guys were "off today"), and our discussion went down hill from there. I finally got in touch with the original sales guy and he said this manager came in midstream and didn't have a clue what type of deal had been discussed. But again, maybe some sort of strategy.

Sure would like to here from a retired auto sales guy who can share auto dealerships ; "Strategies for screwing Customers". After all, it happened in the housing market, why not the auto market?

I have absolutely nothing against these trucks. In fact I think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. However, to put things into prospective; I purchased an '07 Shelby GT500 in '06, ordered exactly the way I wanted it, for 32k. These guys are asking the same price for a taco? Something's wrong with this picture. All I want is a nice truck for an honest price.

Okay...I'll get off my rant. Tomorrow's another day.

Coming from an honest dealer, I would walk away and make them work for you. Let them know what your willing to pay and that's it. My mom taught me this... Every time she bought a new vehicle, she would argue the price down, then, she would continue to act as though she wasn't satisfied with the price. All three times she bought a new vehicle the dealership called her back, even after a couple days once, and said they would give it to her for her price. So, point of my story, don't let them tell you the price, you tell them. If it doesn't work then there are plenty of these trucks around. Good luck!

Looks like my best friend the original sales guy crossed lines...no deal. At least not for now. Wanted 450 a month for 48 months. Not happening...

Your mother taught you well...that's exactly what I did, and will continue to do until we get the truck & the deal we're after.

It boggles the mind why dealers can't recognize a good deal when its starring them in the face. Wouldn't you say this a fair offer; 9k down and payments ~400/month, for 48 months (OTD)? I would, especially when these yo yo's have lots to clear...
