    Okay...latest venture; 2012 DC, 4X4, SR5, TRD OR, 8k miles. Many options but w/o entone/nav. Excellent condition. Is 27k a good buy?

Sounds pretty good to me but I've never bought anything with a remaining warranty on it so I may not. be the best judge. how much is a brand new one with those options? And how Much can u get them down on that price?

Sounds decent, especially since it's 4x4. 8k is low miles. On a good day, you could probably get a 2013 for $3k more but it sounds almost brand new.

I have only looked at low quality pics. But even at that the truck looks great. The seller seems interested in my offer. I plan to look at it this Saturday.

    Thanks again Brad!

E.J. I checked the NADA. Listed as many options as I could guess with this truck and the MSRP is ~ 31k. Not sure what a dealer would give for a trade on this truck but my guess is somewhere ~27k, and sell north of that. Say another 1,500 to 2,500. So if I can land it for 27k I think I've done okay. And you are correct, there are 3 years left on the warranty and 8k miles is nothing.

Not sure on the 2013 prices for a comp.

    Thanks

Update; Offered the seller 27k yesterday. Said he would consider it. Also said he had another guy headed over to see it in the morning (this morning) who offered him full asking price (where have I heard that one before?) and would let me know if it sold or not. I almost bit but I held off. This morning he emailed me & said the guy backed out of the deal. He said he would sell it to me for $27,500. I said if I like it the most I can do is $27,250. He said okay come on down and take a look...longer story short...we liked it and we'll seal the deal next week.

I would post pics but the guy lives down a dusty road & the truck is not pic worthy...unless of course this was a mud bog thread.:)

Original Invoice; Base price: $27,335.00, Options: $2,990.00, $810.00 bla bla bla charge, Total MSRP: $31,135.00. So I guess we both did okay?

    9,100 miles.

Not sure what the not worthy of a pic was all about. Its a truck, not a hospital operating room.

Congrats on your new truck. I think did very well.

I wanted a new access cab Pre-runner, the first vehicle the sales person displayed was a 2009 4 wheel drive TRD OR double cab priced at $30,000, no warranty.
The dealer has since sold it, but not to me.

Yours has less miles, three years newer and less money and warranty.

Nice truck and you will not regret 4x4 since if you ever travel north or to the mountains it will be invaluable

Thanks & I agree. I never owned a truck w/o 4WD. They always come in handy.

I'm hatting these trucks more and more. I started this thread looking to pay ~15 and it kept climbing north from there. I'm now at 27k. Now comes all the gatta have's. Texas wheels, nerf bars, tonneau covers...etc...

I sound like a fool for asking this but what is MGM?

    Ya. That's what I'm hoping.

Folks said the same thing about my power stroke. Fact is they were right. The engine lasts forever. What they neglected to say is that everything else around it falls apart. Hope that doesn't happen here.

I drove a 10 year old Camry before I bought my Tacoma and the Camry held up great not to mention it was in good condition when I sold it. And look at the fact that there are 05 Tacoma's with zero issues still going. Actually just look at the history of toyota trucks they just keep going
