Anyone who drives on public roads with other dickhead drivers with drop in LEDs is allowed to talk shit. It's not only annoying, it can be dangerous in poor weather conditions. They all say, "The ones I got don't do that." o_O

Improvements to LED design have been made since the original thread, and I’ve continued to test them in the thread. Funny thing though, the reviews are not an option at all, it is measured scientific fact using high end scientific equipment way beyond what most professional companies use. Yet you continue to run the old dated poorly focused LEDs that are not advised and lower performing than stock and advocate for them, vs the latest LEDs like the Morimoto 2stroke 3.0 which are the best on the market. Great that you like your current dated LEDs and are unwilling to change. This is where you have your opinion that differs from the measured scientific facts. Even though the SL1 is not a performance upgrade and in fact a downgrade in the 3rd Gen, as proven by science. Maybe if you followed the thread you’d have a better idea of what replacement LEDs could offer, even though halogens will continue to beat it every time in a halogen assembly.

Some people will refuse science no matter how much research has been done. Lots of that going on these past two years, actually.

Wow, after years of service I never would have thought that freedom of speech, voicing your opinion on a product that was being asked by the OP and that it would cause so much hatred, wining and name calling. Anyhow I'm stronger than that to let this bother me and lose sleep over. On the flip side I do find this can be somewhat amusing that people would get their panties in a bunch over some LED light bulbs. I hope you guys enjoy it, peace my fellow Tacoma members.

    Morimoto FTW.
LED lights designed in an LED projector. Each light (3 per side) individually adjustable. Higher impact and scratch resistant lense compared to factory lights. Plus a plethora of other advantages that can be found by a Google search. Not to mention amazing asthetics.

Cut off life? I'm not understanding.

Do you mean line? As the light doesn't draw a straight line? Mine didn't either fresh out of the box, but became significantly better after adjustment

@crashnburn80 is our resident expert on led lights. Like all things, diff but similar products have pros and cons. The main con that I notice with my Morimotos is that the uplight is almost nonexistent. It's a sharp cutoff line between what I can see very clearly and what I can't see.

With that being said, still love my morimoto xbs

I agree. Best looking headlights and plug and play. The thing I like best is they get rid of the little useless cut out notch that Toyota puts at the bottom and just make the LED strip wider all the way around. It looks cleaner imo and make them look better than the OEM. My only regret is I got mine with the Morimoto fogs before the amber option came out. I would have went with the amber headlights and fogs to go with the amber lights I put in the scoop but I'm not going to drop another $1500 just for that swap now.

I just picked up a pair of Diode Dynamics SS3 yellow sports for my truck. Was gonna go Morimoto but I don't like that deep amber light for fogs idk. I saw one locally and it looked odd to me. But I guess that's part of its alure, it's a very different hue than DD or Baja Designs yellow fogs.

I was happy enough to have morimoto led headlights on my Sr5. I was even more happy when I realized I could toggle between amber and white drls. Now I toggle em when I see other nice tacos in the wild as my own little flex lol
