After a few months of take off (low speed) vibrations on a 2012 DCSB. I combed through the litany of threads on this site and made the assumption that the vibrations that I was feeling on take-off were related to weak leaf springs. Everything pointed towards the solution being a traction bar. So I ordered three heim joints and raided my stash of surplus materials. I used 5/8" heims and 1.25"x .120 wall tubing to build a traction bar. The bar is approximately 30" long and pivots of off the gas tank support cross-member. The axle brackets have eight inches of separation between the joints. If someone would be so kind to post the pics (I don't have any picture accounts) I will send them to you. After ten days of having the bar on I can confidently say that all of the vibes on take-off are gone. All totaled I have eighty dollars tied up in the bar and brackets, mind you I had all of the materials on hand so if you plan to build your own it will cost more. I want to thank all the members who have posted mods on here because I have used some of your ideas. I would be happy to supply the dimensions if anyone is interested in building their own traction bar. I'm not saying it is a cure all but it sure worked for me, I'm happy to be vibe free. This site is great.
