I've looked a few times for a yard that has gen 1 Tacomas and I'm never able to fine any. Am I looking in the wrong place (internet)? Where do other folks go for that random part you might need at a reasonable price?

eBay or you call Spalding's in Spokane. What your looking for doesn't exist, people don't scrap them and if they do they get sold overseas.

This is where I went for an impossible-to-find part.
    http://www.whiteyswrecking.com/ (in Spokane)

Good prices, big online parts inventory (on web-site).
You have to call them to place an order.

Cool, thanks all. Sucks that they are all the way out in Spokane - was hoping there'd be somewhere I could go poke around on weekends...but maybe that'll just mean I have to start doing more camping trips out that way as opposed to along the coast.

We got plenty of good camping and wheeling plus you'll be by Idaho and there's plenty of great camping and wheeling there too. Funny you mention the coast, I was just camping in Kalaloch the other day.

I've never had any luck at the local yards in W. Washington either. Usually whatever is there is stripped bare, or what I'm looking for isn't usable. If you're ever in the mood for a Spokane road trip to check out any of their yards, let me know! Always up for a good road trip. Getting some new goodies for the truck makes it even better.
