This is basically my rig if it had 33s and an ARB bumper, (and I'm not saying the ARB was a better choice, by any means. I kinda like this one). Also I don't have the SAS :D

I'm going to try and start with that and then I will be doing a large amount of that myself as well. But whatever I don't have to spend to do the better. I probably will be spending 6 or 7k on mods /maintenance on top of purchase

Good maintenance records can make all the difference. I paid 10k for my rig around five years ago. It's a 2000 and had a little over 200k miles but a) it was one owner, and b) they had taken it to the dealership they bought it from to get the oil changed every 5k miles religiously, and they had all the receipts to prove it. The only downside was it's an automatic but I bought it anyway. 260k and going strong.

if you don't mind, what did you pay for that 3rd gen 4rnr? I'm actually looking to buy one for the exact same reason and Im trying to figure out what a fair price is.

So both the red and silver are out. The red one has a sick motor. Timing belt had never been changed from the indication of no timing tag under hood and the owner had no idea why everyone kept asking about it. When I drove it was way down on power.

Silver, 4cyl just was a no go. The look continues
