    It's a piece of foam-rubber, so it probably costs about $25 to make. The dealership buys in bulk and probably gets another buck or two off that price. Them selling for 50% off is still a markup by 300%.

    Trust me, dealerships always find a way to make money. Always.

    And sometimes low cost items like this are sold as "lost leaders" to get folks shopping with them. Or they may have too many of these bulky fuckers laying around and are wanting to clear some space in their warehouse.

    Businesses who ship in bulk has different pricing with ups/fedex/usps. They pay a tiny fraction of what retail (us) pays for shipping.
