Looking for a local place to have my grill painted. Anyone have good experiences with a place in/near San Jose?

Are you trying to paint a stock grille? depending on the price quote you get you might be able to just buy a new grill that's color matched for less money. Just a thought.

Yeah, I'm going to see what the shops would charge. I know a 2011 factory painted grill goes for $185. And a partsgeek grill would cost about $50 before painting.

Then theres the cost of the grill insert. I like the flush-mount type so about $200+. We're looking at close to $450 just for a friggin color matched grill with insert if I bought the factory painted grill. OUCH!

My bodyshop refused to paint mine.

They said they couldn't bake it on because the plastic would melt, and it would end up peeling or flaking down the line.

My spare grill cost me a grand total of about 30 bucks to paint.
