08PRELB, bought some retro'd headlights.

Arrived at my house this past Friday and I noticed 2 packages at my front door which they were promised to arrive on Friday so I expected it. What I didn't expect was how professional they were packaged up, upon unboxing them I was just hoping they were not damaged (but the good guy he is paid to have them insured). To my surprise, on a closer inspection I find the wiring harness was labelled so even a monkey could hook these up, but what did I do.. I asked him for help and he responded pretty quick, even gave me his phone number if I had any further questions, which I didn't. The quality of the lights was top notch, they look factory like a machine did it. They were aimed pretty good as well, I had to tinker with them a bit to get them in the right spot (his suspension setup is a bit different than mine but I expected to re-aim them just a tad when I installed them) but this only took a few minutes at most.

I gave this guy the benefit of the doubt, but he proved to be a pain in the ass, and never followed through on his attempts to fix a bad transaction.

Bought some headlights for a possible BHLM (original FS thread here) from member PhilipRoth.

Ended up being just over $80 shipped; not a bad deal and he did tell me about the broken tab on top.

When they arrived, these things were packaged like shit, they were stuck in boxes like nesting dolls, with no bubble-wrap or even paper to act as padding. The drivers side light was broken on the backside (I don't know the name of the specific part), but it's where the inner lens assembly tightens up with an adjustment screw. Pictured below:



I let him know about it, and he said it wasn't like that when he shipped them. I said it may have been damaged during shipment, but still I wanted to know how he wanted to proceed. He offered to reimburse my Paypal in the amount of $15....Sure! I was just happy to see him take some responsibility and offer SOME sort of compensation.

Waited, no refund. I have texted him about 5 times since then asking "Hey man, what's up with that $15?" There's always some excuse: out of town, in class, at the lake etc. The last time I heard from his was 3/22 saying he would send the money that night...still nothing. I feel like that dumbass kid on the movie Ski School (I think): "I WANT MY $2.00!!!"

Philip, if you are reading this. Get your shit straight, and stick to your word.

Anyway, i just wanted to vent, and figured this was the appropriate place to do so. On a lighter note, I have personally sold quite a few items on TW and shipped them with EXTRA CARE.
