I'm pretty aware of a lot of mods on cars/trucks, including our Tacomas that are "more show than go" and actually do little besides look good...but have little or no real effect on the power output or handling.

For the most part, I have my new-to-me 2019 Tacoma like I want it...but I wouldn't mind if the motor had a little more pep and performance...but I don't want to waste money on "bling". Things line cold-air induction kits...that look good but don't do much, are not on my list.

Are there really any mods or add-on parts that are easy to install by a mechanically-challenged rookie like me, and provide real performance gains without being costly? I'm talking good bang-for-the-buck choices.

A tune can help a little, but truthfully no, there's not much out there thats "easy" thats gonna yield alot of power. Really not much out there thats hard that helps with power, besides supercharger.

You may get the handling you're looking for by finding a take off suspension from a Sport, which can be had cheap on your local buy/sell thread. If you can install that yourself it's low cost.

You'll never get the truck to be fast, but a tune will make it feel more responsive and better to drive.
