I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Such a generous person and always willing to go out of his way to help people.

    He will be missed.

Very sorry to hear about his passing. He helped me out with a few things over the years and I (along with many others on this thread) considered him a valuable member of the community. TW is lesser without him.

Rick deserves a massive Tacoma World parade in his remembrance. Some of us never had to personally interact with him to feel the impact he had on this site. God Bless you and your family.

Mrs. Swank and boys - VERY SORRY to hear of your loss!!

Rick became a true friend to me through this site after I joined in 2017. Very friendly and easy to talk to. We did a lot of communication by texting (was just messaging on Thursday about detailing products - he was going to help me out) and I think we even did a few phone conversations too. Wish I could have met him, but Ohio was a bit far away.

    Please take care!!!

    Pops

My condolences to you and your boys Mrs Swank. I am so sorry for you all. I am sitting here very much shocked by this news. Though I've never met Rick in person, we had a common love of mountain bikes as well as tacomas, and would occasionally chat by text (I'd sent him some brake levers). I expect that this thread will become quit long with messages of his friendliness and generosity. All are true. He will be missed and remembered by many here for years to come. May he rest in peace.

Edit; I just had to come back and add to this. I opened the homepage and just saw this thread title by chance. I was immediately bummed thinking, damn, Rick sold his taco and got something else, I'm gonna miss him. I opened the thread out of curiosity thinking lets see what he gave the taco up for and then it took a sec for what I'd just read to sink in. Such a terrible loss. The world needs more Ricks. :pout:
