Everyone keeps saying they would be pissed if they got a junky truck and Toyota didn't do anything about it.

All I see wrong is a slightly loose valve core on one tire, and some issues balancing tires.

So. Step 1 = tighten the valve core like a man and move on. Step 2 = try to get Toyota to balance the tires again and if they won't balance, claim warranty through an independent shop and try a new set.

Be. A. Man. Deal with the problems and move in...there will be more problems in life as time goes on. Stand up. Press on. Deal with life.

Why should you have to worry about any of that crap with a brand new truck???

My expectation of a brand new anything is: Step 1: Sign papers. Step 2: Savor new car smell. Turn key. Leave dealer and be happy, at least until the first payment coupon is due.

Being upset about issues related to your $30k purchase to me seems perfectly legitimate. I'm not a Rockefeller, $30k is a lot of money to me and I expect value for what I pay for - that means NO problems, but if one does crop up, I expect it to be taken care of promptly with no BS from a dealer.

Maybe some people are that rich that they can just shrug and say, "Oh well, I blew $30k on this POS, not to worry my good man, I will just deal with life." Wish I was one of them.

I feel like my truck is a lemon........ Two broken leafs, AC compressor blew up, went to change the song on a cd and pushed the "next button" and the radio turned off.. And wouldn't come back on until I abusively persuaded it.

All within less than 5 months I've owned the truck.

That doesn't taint my view on Toyotas, I realize sometimes shit happens and you just gotta deal. If you expect to own a vehicle and have absolutely nothing go wrong with it, you're gonna have a bad time. ( That doesn't mean that something WILL go wrong.. Just expect things to break sometimes.. Like I said shit happens).

    Edit:

I do agree, when you buy something new you should expect nothing less than perfect. But If you like something you should stand behind it, so harass someone until they fix it for you.

No, you're the guy who's been a member for 3 months and has almost 1500 posts. Maybe you should spend more time driving your truck and less busting on everyone who makes a comment just for the sake of arguing....assuming you even have a Tacoma, that is! GF!!!:jerkoff:

This has nothing to do with wealth. Just because you're expecting something to go 100% in your favor, doesn't mean life always ends up like that. In the very common event that something doesn't go 100% in your favor, it's time to press on, and get things straightened out. Yes, that means patience while issues are worked out, and pursuing all options before throwing in the metaphorical towel.

Unfortunately, people who truly believe that they are entitled to something are bound to be disappointed. Expectations, unfortunately, set a person up for possible disappointment. Being flexible and working through unexpected situations builds character. Making the CHOICE to press through a situation towards a solution builds character. This country was founded by men who lived by and believed in these ideals. Let's strive towards these characteristics, instead of reacting emotionally towards difficulties, and giving up early.
