Hey man I just purchased the Cooper ST Maxx and i love how they perform in the dirt. They ride very well on the road with less road noise than I expected and very pleasing to the eye. Im actually headed up to Shasta County, CA and will be using them in the snow for about a week straight. Want me to give you a review as to how they perform when I return? Ive ran the Goodyears you are talking about and I thought they were okay.

I got a set of 265/70/R16 cooper at3's. I have had no issues with them, great traction. Here in northern Indiana we get a mix of rain, snow, ice on the roads. I feel confident with them at all times. I had them on my 2001 Dakota, i bought my 2011 Taco and swapped them on to it. Have about 45k miles on the coopers and have a lot of tread life left in them. For the money, you can't beat them. Buddy at work bought the goodyear silent armors a couple weeks ago and with the recent snow fall, is not happy with them. He was sliding too much for his liking.

I've had Duratracs in the past and loved them. They are just a little pricey for what I'll be using them most for.

Nothing major planned, this is my daily driver. - replaced stock tires with Cooper AT3s - added Husky WeatherBeater floor mats - installed Access Original bed cover - installed Gentex 453 mirror and the included external temp sensor, also has Homelink and auto-dim - installed ImMrYo mirror bracket - hose clamp mod and washer mod to secure tailgate, with a GateKeeper lock installed over the hose clamp - replaced stock reverse lights with Philips Halogen 30w from Home Depot GY6.35 base
We have Cooper A/TWs on her GX470, we love them and I'm probably putting them on my Tacoma after my Cooper AT3's wear out (I love those as well, but want A/TWs for even better winter traction along with being great in summer/rain too)

Cooper's hands down. I've never had any Goodyear tire that performed as advertised.
Cooper wins on price and they wear better...... IMHO. CRAB

I have had the cooper a/3's on for about 2000 miles and so far im impressed. We have had quiet a bit of rain and a little snow and they hav.e done really good in it.

Now i have had the duratracs on my company vehicle for the last 5 years and i personally would not buy them for my personal vehicle. They do pretty good until about 10,000 miles then they start losing traction and wear extremely fast, at least they do that on my company vehicle. I have yet to get more than 25,000 miles out of a set of them. The company i work for has some kind of deal with goodyear, so thats what they always use, but i think the rubber compound is very very soft on them.

I just ditched my Duratracs for some AT3s and could not be happier with the results.

I put Cooper A/TW's on my 2003 today. So far, so good (of course). They look good, and not much road noise, even on the freeway with roughness and damage from people using studded tires.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Coopers will be in the running for me when I need new skins, I can however say that I was less than satisfied with their CS4 and CS5 car tires. When I had a 90k tire go tits up at 30k, I wasn't happy.

Well i actually got to use mine in some pretty heavy rain, first time and they really done well. Was very impressed with there grip and handling in the rain. Now just waiting to see what happens in the snow, yet to see any of that yet.
