Please do, I'd like to follow along the self-build on the Goose Gear setup. I am thinking of doing something similar.

Nice, doing the full goose gear back seat delete in my truck is one of the best things I’ve done so far. Absolutely love their stuff.

So as I stated, im going to add the Homemade "Goose Gear" to here as well as start a Thread.

Today was big work, got all the materials in and started measuring and everything. I was able to finish the frame prior to aluminum frame before I had to call it a night.

I have some blueprints, ill post if yall want me to. Just on every measurement minus 1 inch. I made a rookie mistake and forgot to account for exterior.

Ok made some changes, didnt like how tight it was within the cab. So basically redid the whole skeleton. This feels much better. It has been slow though. Because we'll I drilled through my thumb. But within the next couple days I will have it wrapped up.

Well here's the finished product, I do wish the HDPE was Textured black, ill just remember to order it for the rear. I think there's a few little things I could do but really its a solid platform.

That's fucking SWEET man. Very nice setup. I not only love it for the firearm aspects (it speaks to my soul on an emotional level) but I love a handy man. Had an idea, thought it out and put some materials and time into the project and BAM! Look what we have here. Could you maybe give us a total time, materials (ballpark) local to you cost? I'm on the complete other Coast, not only would shipping kill the Goose Gear rear delete for my SR5, the price upfront is steep at best for something I've never seen in person, cannot touch and inspect. But this kinda project, I can really sink my teeth and a couple weekends into. Like OP, I'm much more in the camp of doing what I can myself, with some YT, forum, and Goggle help. Again super freaking sweet setup man, you should be Proud of that setup. Be sure to let us know how the first range trip goes, as well as how the pup likes the ride back there.

Thanks man, tomorrow, im getting all the pricing, measurements and all for a follow up post. Today was one hell of a day. Had a few sticker laying around. Figured why not. Added some more gear, surprisingly how much gear I can store,to include a 30L backpack.

You know I've been supportive of your work since day one, knowing that most of it probably isn't something I would do since I need the backseat for the kiddo

Looking at your setup... There's still a back seat for the kiddo. Plus all of that.

When I finish all of my high mileage maintenance stuff at the end of this summer, I may have to do something like this.

Moving on to the next project now. I have gathered all the materials and starting to visualize how I want to set it all up.

This will be for a start a Goose Gear Bed Platorm. I got two 54x96in 1/2 HDPE in textured black for the base. I will attached with rivet nuts, awhile replacing the bed bolts underneath and sealing all cracks and crevices within the bed.

I will install base aluminum extrusion to the bed platform itself to start as the base for the bed build out.

Attached I have some rough Blueprints. I wont be starting today as my truck is up at Axleboy getting a new Dual Battery system and recapping of my wiring within my engine bay, so until tomorrow I will just be brainstorming and we'll mapping out this Two Month trip coming up in less than a month.

Im pretty excited for this project.

Axleboys Instslled the dual battery setup, if there is one thing that I wish I could become more proficient at it would be electrical work. Im just always afraid of lighting the truck on fire, I mean Axleboy literally had to rewire my engine bay cause they didnt think it was proper enough. So I think I have a new year's revolution I know abit late, but im going to learn everything I can about wiring and 12v systems.

My work requires me to get good at wiring, so I'm less concerned than I used to be

    But also

    Learn everything you can lol
