If it decelerates, then no. If it brakes, then yes.

LOL!!!! Yeah, my dad .. Because he was the only one on the block with a P/U (A 66' Dodge D-200... So there's how old I am .. LOL)
Would 'volunteer' to take 10 kids in the bed and pick them up, to the movies on a Sat. afternoon matinee. Somehow, he never lost one of them. I'm guessing doing that is a felony nowdays.

If you use your 'old fashioned' cruise control lever for more than a few seconds to reduce your speed the brake lights will come on also.

Honestly, I think that Cruise Control is one the greatest inventions of the last 40 years. I absolutely love it. I use it constantly.
    Mostly because:
A: Because I don't have to constantly look at the speedo to make sure I'm not 'accidentally' speeding (Who of us hasn't been rolling along and looked down at the speedo and realized 'WTF! Whoa! I'm going how fast?? Good thing there weren't any cops around..'
B: My right foot hurts after trying to keep it at that 45-degree angle after so long...
C: I'm assuming that letting the computer figure out how to get the best MPG's, and I bought the I4 just for that reason, can do a better job at it than I can... (And it has so far...)
I could absolutely live without air-conditioning/power windows/ power door locks/ power a-lot-of-stuff ... I wouldn't even mind having to get out of the cab and turn the locks on the hubs to engage 4x4 ...
But, take my CC away? Not a chance! LOL!!

I turned on cruise control for the first time over the summer and my truck instantly slowed down from 55 to like 20mph in a second. Idk why and I still don’t use that thing to this day. (The cc cancelled itself at 28mph)
