Google maps

Anybody know how old the maps and satellite images from Google maps are?

 

Depends on the locale... My local images were taken in September of 2004. How do I know? The leaves on the trees are Yellow, and my 4Runner that I had just bought is sitting in the parking lot at my office without the roof rack, which I had put on in November of 2004.

 

I've looked up my house & I can actually see my tomato plants in the back yard from last summer.....

 

The one of San Diego is from atleast 2005.

 

Studying the pic of my house, I'm almost positive my pic is from 2003 or early 2004. Dad still had the black Ford truck, he traded that in early 2k5 for a white Chevy.

Half of the roads I drive on a daily basis aren't even on this map, lol.

 

Last I looked my house wasn't even built yet. It was finished some time in '05.

 

should have a copyright mark in the lower corners.

edit/: However street view is brand new. My dad was mowing the lawn in his photo op.
