Yeah I may be trying out a different program here soon if I can't figure it out.

We are just about to get a nice tubing notcher in my shop so I will actually be able to do some projects with tubing!

Late reply, Yes. Worked at a shop for a while, custom finishing and all. Then started a company and got into manufacturing. Used sketchup a lot.

Still make furniture in my spair time. Making this and 4 side tables in the next month.

I honestly use SketchUp a lot. I design just about all my 3D design in SketchUp Pro it's really a great program if you don't want to spend a shit ton of money on SW.

I made this water table for my TorchMate

Sure it's a pile of steel sitting in the back of my shop  i still need to weld it together. My 4' gantry still isn't here yet so I haven't welded it together. Once it's all welded I'll post some pictures.

No I have a 2x4 Table right now and I upgraded my gantry to a 4' so I'm building a new table. I didn't want to spend $2,000 on TotchMate's water table when i can build one for 1/4 of the cost and stronger.

On that bedrack thing you made, whats the random plate in the center on top for?

Also what do you use to take your pictures on sketchup like that? Unless you have a mac, then I am guessing just screenshots?

I really need to learn how to make tubing easier on here.

The top plate is for a tire. All you need to do is export it as a .jepg. just move the design the way you want to see it in the picture and file export to to 2D model it exports a .jepg.

I like the bed rack idea.

I just made this sled deck idea to see if it would work with my 6ft bed.
Not so sure... The swing open doors are right on the edge of the tailgate. I think the deck itself will hang off too far. I just made this to see how it would look.
