Goose Gear just finished prototyping the rear platform for the access cab.

We have only tested it in a 3rd gen without the back seat. We need to test still on a 3rd gen with a back seat and then two 2nd gens (1 with and 1 without the seat option).

For the test vehicles I mentioned above we will discount the total cost by throwing in the install which is a couple hundred bucks. Contact me through our website if your interested in helping out. You’ll need to be able to come to the shop so you’ll need to be local to Westminster. Contact us through the Goose Gear website please if interested.

The main material is Bullet lined Baltic Birch marine grade ply with aluminum extrusion to add support. They have pre made holes with threaded inserts for anchoring points and then of course the mounting brackets that are our design fabricated for us.

Very sturdy and light weight without sacrificing storage is always our goal.

Wow, really nice looking stuff! Wish I had a Tacoma already as I'd definitely offer it up for R&D / prototyping since it won't be my daily.

    Check out the build
They’re probably 1/4-20. Were a dealer for them and most of the hardware is 1/4-20 on the cabinet systems.

I would hope metric. A peave of mine is making something for a metric truck and sending SAE hardware.

17EE48FE-B5E2-4B1A-86F0-BCFFB9810A21.jpg Welp it is 1/4-20 lol

Mustve got a random non 1/4-20 bolt off my roof rack when i test fit. But this info is straight from goose gear so it should be good.

also since this thread is about goose gear seat deletes, heres the 40% i just installed

STILL waiting with my 2015 Access cab (2nd gen) w/o seats...... Eager to get my rear seat deletes - I’m on the east coast, so I can’t come to the Cali shop.

I'm with you. I am seriously considering swapping for utility package parts, but I am not sold on the idea.

I can't imagine they are *That* different. The mounting points should be 100% the same.

Dang wish I had seen this sooner. Even though I have a 2008 back seat it might be cool to have this. I'm very local and see the GG truck around town often.
