It has come down in price. I have 3 so you can get all different shots at once. And if you lose it or it busts you don't care.

 

It doesn't say Gopro on it, man. IT'S CRAP!!

I've heard they have a ton of shore diving there. My fiance does not dive so how is the beach lounging there?

Yes it's 75% shore diving. The beaches are not all that Sandy on a few. Thay are all coral and live rock. It's really a beautiful island and friendly. But it's no curacao and not American at all.

 

Found a Hero 4 Silver on the Walmart website originally $399.99 on sale for $344.99. I'm not a Walmart fan so I went to Target and got them to price match it. I felt it was an okay deal and decided to pick one up. Haven't used it as much as I'd like but got the holidays coming up and did get the chance to use it in the Tacoma a few times.

 

Said it once, and i'll say it again.

The first mod i'll be doing to my tacoma will be to rip off that mount from the windshield.

 

I thought about selling it, but I think I am going to keep it; at least for now. Thanks for the offer though.

 

I just picked up a Hero 4 Black this evening off Craigslist for $300. Sell online for $499. I was considering the Hero 4 Silver as I thought the touch screen was more important than the 4K features. But for $100 less than the Silver I'm good I think. Young lady who sold it to me said she's had it about a year and only used it twice. All the mounts are still in their original wrappers. Plus she threw in the 32GB MicroSD Class 10 card she had purchased for it.

Sync'd it up with my Cell Phone this evening and shot a video of my drive home just to see how it would do in pitch black light. Here's a short clip:


I just had it resting on the dash board on the 5x5 display platform it comes mounted to in the box.

 

Is there any kind of special adapter that you have to get to mount the gopro to the bracket on the windshield?

Hero 4 black here, love it! Get the app for your smart phone and control everything.

 

I would go with the Garmin x or Garmin xe. They have more features the the go pro and they come with the universal mount for the go pro mounts.

 

Does this camera fit in the mount without any adapters..?
