    I got the surf hero and bought every other mount they have except the wrist one, an extra battery, the lcd screen, extra surfboard mount, the grab bag of spare mount parts, anti fog things, extra lenses & a hardcase thing off ebay for it. Probably got 450 in all of it.

    This is my upcoming birthday gift. I see a lot of crazy stuff on the highway and want to video it and a few other things too.

    My questions are:

    (1) I need to dash mount the GrPro on my Tacoma dash with a suction cup on the smooth area in the beanbag holder like my GPS. Is this possible?

    (2) Who has the best price and are there any deals or coupon codes ?

    (3) Any tips on using the GoPro in your vehicle or in general ?

    (4) I would like to rig it up on the instrument panel of a helicopter too, if a little vibration is OK.

    Any and all comments are very much appreciated ... thanks ...

    PS ... also ... any regrets at all ... :confused:

    thing to considder with the gps mount is that the go pro will be more top heavy than a gps, so if the gps mount is only held in place with weight, a gopro may tip it over.

    Thanks ... I will ask my wife to sew some extra or bigger bean (actually sand) bags for me then.

    A buddy (who has a machine shop) can maybe make a aluminum mount for the helicopter mounting.

    Didn't think about the "top heavy" factor ... thanks

    i have seen it mounted on an rc helicopter.
    it can stand a lot of vibration.

    the only regret i have is not having the time to edit what i shoot....other wise i love it

    Cool ... I forgot about RC helicopter & RC aircraft in general that could use it. Some of those RC units are very large and have a big payload.

    Neat idea, putting it on a RC ... great vibration test too ... thanks
