Coming out of Island Pond w/ Todd & Colby, a bull moose lumbers from the trail to the woodline.
Upper left, it looked bigger in person & was the 3rd one we saw that day.
Cool to catch them in real time but Todd should be wearing the camera.
By the time I get there, its gone...hopefully we all will have the gopro's next season.

Here's a link to my first GoPro mt bike session posted on Metacafe. Cam is on buddy's handlebars. Got more of seat post looking back, helment, on buddy's front fork and a couple of other angles. Nothing special, just raw footage, haven't even added soundtrack, still learning curve in progress..............

I just got the roll bar mount for my camera, we are gonna try it out at the bridgeport meet and mount it on the front of my bumper and see what kinda footage we can get, i might even be able to fab something for the rear too

I was already thinking of using the seatpost mount for the bike on the light bar on the front of the truck. Also got the suction cup mount that can be stuck several places. Used a leash for it while filming on the car just in case but it didn't budge.

How good would one of these work for filming a hunt from a tree stand? Anyone try that or have footage?

i would not think it would work very well being a wide angle camera.
    distance stuff is very small

Tried mine out a couple weekends ago and it worked pretty well. I was using the suction mount on my helmet while riding my quad. Drag wasn't too noticeable which was surprising. Anyone know if a handlebar mount is more shaky than a helmet mount? Is the footage still decent though? What size SD card is everyone using? My 2gb filled up really fast

Im using two 16gb's... the best "wobble" factor i found was on the helmet on top. The front fender feels every bump the rear is a little smoother but on top of the helmet if you have a neck brace your head barely moves and keeps the video pretty smooth.

can you tell a diff between 720 and 1080? is it worth the extra cash to get 1080?

Using 32gb SDHC - 39.99 Centon on tigerdirect dot com. The link I posted back up a few posts was the cam on my buddy's handlebars, mtb not motorcycle tho. I smudged the lens with sweaty fingers switching the mounting point around from seat post is why it looks cloudy on the left side and I had it running 960p because it is taller and narrower pic than 720p or 1080p. Wanted to see what it captured before going 1080p. I shot about 2 hrs worth of video and it used about 10gb on the card at that resolution. We even mounted it to my buddy's fork leg and it wasn't shaky.

i only use the 720P setting anyway.
i ought the 1080P version to have the option for higher res and this seems to be the only version they are adapting accessories for (bacpac stuff)

I shoot 720 & use 2 16g cards. One for the morning & one for the afternoon.
At lunch I charge the battery with a portable Lenmar USB charging kit & also carry a spare charged battery.
Our trips last all day on the trails & the camera works well with this setup in the cold weather.
As far as mount, I use it on my full face helmet on the side or Eye of Mine's roll bar mount attached to fabbed pts we made on the sleds. Front & back.
I move the camera around for different footage & pov.

Here's a few pics I snagged from video & some errant pics taken by gopro when I thought it was on video. That's just got to be rewarding every time thinkin you got all this cool video then when you get cam home you're missing 3 different video angles, about 45 min of video to find you have 450 still pics.
These are the video angles missing from this wknd's ride where I just got some stills instead...........
