So update 1, Wanted to clean up that rats nest under my hood that i knew would take awhile as i would have to undo all the wiring i did and redo it. So wife was out of town for business. First panel i thought of a plastic plexi but then it kept cracking and looked hella cheap. So i went and got some metal and bent it and painted it. Added a breaker switch a 6 slit blue sea fuse box. Rewired everything and made it much cleaner. The switch u see is for my hood lights.

Came out pretty good so far. Hard wired to it is lights behind my grille, light bar in lower valence, rock lights, gps, cb radio, hood lights.

Update number 2, I have a friend who knows how to weld, So i wanted to learn some and also wanted a IFS skid, they looked pretty easy to make just cutting and welding as long as you can measure, my old skid....splash guard was dented and rusting terribly and it was a pita. Also I had hit my front diff at some point in the past since there was no protection there and made getting the bolt off really hard.

as you can see i wanted some more protection. So i contacted my friend ty who sold his sole to the dealer and recently got a bad ass new tundra and traded in his tacoma. We went to his dad shop which is every mans dream. I had pre cut most things and tried the whiskey bend method but after basically cutting through it still wouldnt bend even with a cheater and a guy on each end. Then I figured i didnt know the exact bends it needed so i just cut it and we bolted it all on the truck than tacked the front bent portion on. Pulled it all off and burned the rest of it. Its made of a36 3/16 steel and its a heavy mother like all skids. But between removing the SWAY bar.....finally and my god what a difference, and the old skid and cross memebers the suspension didnt even drop. 3 coats of primer and 4 coats of the runniest paint ever but idgaf because it will get scratched anyways.

    Yours truly.

It was a great learning experience, things i would change would be maybe buy a hole saw and but in the bolts recessed but i think this is stronger and they are grade 8 and sunk very deep so Im not worried about it really. The fit was spot on too, only hard part was finding a m12x1.25x100 grade 8 bolt for the middle. There is about a 1/2 clearance front the skid to the diff housing which is the lowest part which i think is perfect.

no probs, shovel is from lowes and painted black to prevent rust and possibly theft.

Original quick fist clamp? They've got like 10 different ones but the original seems the best for shovels, axes, etc.

    Good idea on black too

That's part of my plan when I install a 12v outlet in the bed, to go through the cubby to get access. I want to put it just under the bed rail.

I would put it nearthe tailgate so u don't have to climb in there to use it since u have a canopy. Maybe right at the end of the rail
