Well it was a busy weekend:

Regarding the truck-> the previous brake pads and rotors werent very good at 34k miles, the drums had mud and rocks baked through them, which is how it was when i got it at 19k miles.
So i swapped in some EBC dimpled and slotted rotors and green stuff pads. Also I did the extended steel braided brake lines since i wanted to upgrade all that i could plus now i dont have to worry about them and if i lift any higher i have the lines for it. Also most people recommended the flare nut wrench for taking off the lines, I went and got the only set they had which had a ratcheting mechanism in them. They were dog shit and just started to strip the nut. So i soaked the nuts in penetrating oil and uses a 10mm metric box wrench and my kung fu grip which worked on all of them and did not strip them. Also did a full bleed of the system and now it stops a hell of a lot better.

    SEX!

Any questions let me know i will do my best to help out.

got my elk from last year finished up from a buddy that does taxidermy as a hobby.....no idea why but he does. This was a 5x6 elk shot at 263 yards by a .308. This elk should of actually been a 6x7 due to him having a mutation in his gene pool and he does not have double eye guards in his rack. Sadly he passed along that gene as i found a set of horns this spring that are the same setup as his so he has a son in the area with the mutation.

Lastly for now an update on the 600rr, Finally the cold weather and frost is upon us and the snow is coming, I dropped in a BMC race air filter and loaded up the tune on my power commander 3, got it all installed and tuned. Then took it for a ride and man what a difference, smooth throttle and much snappier roll, washed it and put it to bed for the winter.

That's fun 70 in first gear, watch out lol. My bike's motor is a carry over pretty much with a standard riding position. I'm to tall for a crotch rocket to ride one comfortably.

Nice build thread Josh. I like your story about getting stuck in the mud, and unstuck. One of my greatest fears getting stuck. hhaha. Like the brake upgrade too. Subbed!

ha not only was I worried after being stuck alone was also that my pride was hurt a little. Wont ever happen again is my hope....brake upgrade was worth every penny so far with 33s that are ten ply.

Very good to hear on the brakes. I'll remember that. Because I wheel alone in far places, that was one of the motivating factors in getting my amateur radio license. Good for 10 years, and cost about $15. Easy to reach another radio operator for help.

ya thats y i carry everything all the time now, really back then if i had sliders and a hi lift like i do now i would of been out of there. I have everything to make a winch with the hi lift also until i get a real one.
