    Just Rims and Tires: FJ Cruiser 16" wheels w/ 265/75/16 BFG KO2's
    It wont shift out of 4x4.... i move the lever to the 2wd position and when i release the clutch it just grinds and doesnt move. but it did drive 70 miles homein 4x4 with out a problem.....Anyone have an idea of what it could be?

    No worries man we gotta do it again .... BAMF!!

    Did you try rocking it back and forth by putting in reverse and then in gear to try to loosen up the gears?

    will years ago we had an f150 that had the same thing wefinally got it out of 4wheel drive by hit reverse and backing up a will 100-200feet ... it turn out that one of the components had cracked cause it had gottensome mud/clad or something that clog it up. try to back up and rock f&b andsee if it helps any if not ya did say ya worked at a Toyota hit up one of thetech guys on the side... it might of been thw water crossing ya could of gotten something up in it have ya checked????

    Yeah I rocked it around a couple of times. I only let it back up a hill like 30 feet ill try to let it back up a longer distance.

    Dont think it was the water. Pretty sure it happened when I was driving it like a trophy truck at the end of the day, when we hit the truck trails. I was doing about 40 mph and caught air a couple of times..
