Got a BUILD DATE!!!!!

So my dealer told me today my build date is 10/26! He said it should arrive 1-2 weeks after that to the dealership. I can't wait!

What I ordered...

MGM TRD OR DCSB
6 speed manual transmission
Mud flaps
All weather matts

I really don't have too many plans for it just maybe a leveling kit up front if it needs it and maybe a slim bed tool box. All in all I'm very excited to get it. I use to own a 09 TRD OR DCSB and it was great. But I can't wait for the 2016!

Awesome man! I finally got a build date on my TRD OR DCSB with a manual today too! 11/9. We'll see if it arrives before or after Thanksgiving

Awesome, I ordered the exact same thing, options and all (had initially had the bed extender but canceled that option)

I ordered it (told the dealer to order it) on 9/23. when did you place the order at the dealer?

awesome, but keep in mind it's only an estimated build date. mine got bumped 2 weeks from the original one I was told. I am being veeeeeery patient about this.

 

I can't remember the exact date but it was late September as well

 

FYI. My original estimated build date was 9/7. Then it got bumped to 9/26. I now finally have an ACTUAL build date of 10/5, and it is currently in freight status with a real VIN and a 10/20-10/24 estimated delivery date.

 

Well you guys are lucky. On 9/10 I ordered a TRD Sport, AC, 4x4 with premium & tech package and Toyota has not even "accepted" the order yet. I am told they will not be building that configuration for several months and I may not see my truck until February. Total BS! There may be some truth to it. I have searched dealer inventory far and wide online, looked at a hundred trucks on dealer lots and cannot locate a single TRD Sport AC with the premium & tech package. Not a single one.

 

that sucks, but it kind of makes sense. they are probably just going to crank out what they know will be the most popular configurations until they catch up with demand.

 

Let me guess. Longbed or jbl?

 

neither. DCSB Sport 4x4, no options other than mats & towing.

see my second post above - it was completed on Monday 10/5 and is now on a railcar to the east coast!

 

There is a white TRD Sport AC on one of my local dealers websites listed as incoming. Don't know the options though. Rusty Wallace Toyota in Morristown TN.

 

How do you guys order taco? Thought u couldn't? They just enter the spec and just wait when that build(closest?) is happening?

 

I went to a dealer and they looked around to see if any were being built and sent nearby. When they couldnt find what I wanted they took one of their build allocations, sent a change request to Toyota with the specs I wanted and waited a day for approval.

Another dealer found one in a different region, but they have to drive it up from that region. Not really a fan of having a vehicle with a thousand miles brand new

 

Damn, I'm kind of depressed, got my build date and it is 11/17 for DCSB 4x4 MT w/mats and mud flaps, looks like I won't get it until Dec.

 

so i had a build date of 10-8 with delivery 10 days to two weeks later. i got a call yesterday and dealer told me truck was built and in houston gettin final prep. should be here in austin monday or tue.
maybe it wont be as long as you think. good luck!!
