I really appreciate any advice. I have two 2004 tacos extended cabs, #1 is a 2.7 4 cylinder non lifted, no trills, straight and solid, truck with 225,000 miles. #2 is a 3.4 6 cylinder 4” lift, deluxe cab electric everything, straight ,solid, with front and back trailer hitches, WARN electric connectors for accessories, front and rear elockers, and several other ad one that I probably wouldn’t use. With 177,000 miles. I’m really not an off road guy, but I really like the way this truck is set up. I have to sell one , what would you do ? Why? I’m stuck . Thanks

Are they paid off? If so, do you really *have* to sell one?

I’d keep the red truck. I like the color.

Red one would probably bring more money to sell. Lower miles, more powerful engine, better creature comforts. For those reasons I’d sell the white one :)

What a good dilemma to be in. I’m usually more of a keep it stock guy but that red one is done up quite nicely!

Is the 4cyl a manual trans? If it was an auto that would be a deal breaker for me. I have a 2.7 and love it, but no way I could drive it with even less power that an auto would bring.

As to your actual question. You would probably get far more money out of the decked out 3.4. If it’s just the looks you like but you say you won’t use any of the off-road mods, then it would be easy enough to take that extra money from selling the 3.4 and put a small lift and wheels and tires on the 2.7 truck to get the looks your after. Not to mention the 2.7 usually gets a few mpgs better than the 3.4. That being said, this is really gonna be a personal preference thing and only you can decide which one really speaks to you.

Thanks for the response. Both are 5 speed manuals, and yes I do have to sell one, because the dog house is already occupied.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
While the red one would likely bring more money the pool of buyers is much more limited to the average buyer all the goodies very well might chase them away. Thinking the truck was used hard off road then made to look pretty.

I vote the white one it will sale faster. If you need the money ASAP!

In my world I would keep them both.

    Hard call Good luck!
