getting closer and closer. Being Night Shift doesn't help, I can't make a bunch of noise at night working on the thing... I'll have to sacrifice sleep and wake up early to use the slide hammer and such

Easy parts done... Got the 3 new bellows onto the transom side... I walked away for a bit before I start wrestling it to the outdrive side...

The bellows royally kicked my ass. I spent probably 5+ hours on literally just trying to get them on the outdrive side. I was using the method with the threaded rod and washers as the tool. My issue is no matter where I orient the clamp, I can't get to it when I have the bellows in it's place. I can't get it in place but I can't hold it in place.. my hands and fingers are trashed.
    .
    Kicked. My. butt.

guess this is what I get for trying to do it without the bellows adhesive. Ordered that, the alignment tool and the bellows tool. I'll rehash it when it all comes in haha.

Yea, I couldn't hold it on and get to the damn clamps at the same time. Getting the bellows on wasn't the struggle... keeping the dang thing on while manipulating the assembly to get to the clamp.... The engineers need beat with 14 extensions and swivels. I may need to pick up a flex-drive but it's still a tough fit. I ordered some adhesive from Amazon, but of course it's not prime. They didn't have one that was. So now I wait. Im hoping the adhesive will secure the bellows better so I can get to the clamp.

I have a list engineering debacles that need an alignment tool taken to the engineers responsible.

Got the outdrive put together and put back on, new bellows, new shift cable, adjusted, new water pump, impeller and gaskets. Put new gear lube in it. I even put on a new speedometer thing as the one in the boat was broke.

Now I just hope the oil seals are good and all the new fluid says INSIDE the outdrive. I have all gears now too!!

Drained the old oil, put new plugs, out a fumoto valve on the oil pan (so I can just run a tube out the drain hole) I got the wrong fuel filter kit but the current one looks great. I fiddled with the cables some more and officially have all gears under power.

If I Romp it the engine with spit and spitter, but if I'm smooth with the throttle it'll rev all the way to 4500

    Probably needs new gas

rewired and replaced all the lights on the trailer... Previous person who wired this thing... should never EVER touch a wire again.... Twist caps, duct tape, twisted wires and literally 5 splice connectors in ONE corner of the trailer. Random wires that are cut/ went nowhere. Nothing was weatherproof. I am pretty anal when it comes to wiring, and always spent too much time and overkill it... SO, everything I did is weather pack connectors WITH shrink wrap. I did cut some corners and used splices, however I packed and coated them completely in RTV (lol). There weren't bushing or anything where the wires passed through cross members, so I ran wire loom through it to protect any rub points and the plug end going to the truck has shrink wrap and wire loom on it to keep it from rubbing/breaking down from being unplugged etc.

Now I just need to register and title the trailer.....

OH:Tacoma Related--- I think the trailer blew my fuse from the shit wiring earlier. I had brake lights and turn signals at the trailer, but no running lights. There is a 30 amp fuse under the hood labeled "Trailer tail light"

This is just an example of the old wiring.... It was that bad....

On my trailer, the wiring was very similar to yours, random crap connectors if any at all. Some were just taped over twisted wires.
I just ripped it all out and bought a complete wiring harness.

Water,,,, when's it going in the water.

My plan was to sneak it out this morning. Like now, but I agreed to wake up early (it'll be equivalent to 2am for me.... Night shift....) And go teach my friends boyscout troop flag ceremony stuff... Since I was once in charge of the Honor Guard and such.

The boat is legal. The trailer lights are legal... The plate is not. I'm waiting till i can meet the previous owner again for a bill of sale. Newbie mistake.

I should also look into why the bilge and blower aren't working. I kinda want those to work before I head out. I picked up some new dock lines and bumper lines (they used a knotted up ratchet strap webbing)
