I looked quick and did not see answers but I am guessing there are answers here someplace. It's gotten hot here in Mass. and my A/C seems like its not quite up to the task compared to past summers. I saw some references elsewhere that makes me think maybe I need a gas recharge but I am looking for specs to check first. Truck has only 28K, 3 1/2 years old so I would not expect A/C to be iffy and I can't see any leaky spots, so there is nothing obvious. My questions are what temps should I see at the vents? If not up to snuff, any estimates of how much charge might be needed for higher than expected temp measurements? I know it can't be exact but since the A/C is working more or less OK, sort of.....it may need some. Thanks for any help

it really depends on ambient temp and humidity. my 19 will blow around 25 to 35 at 75 ambient and 90% humidity.

here is a general guide i found

A place to start. If its 85-90 here I guess 55-60 would not be too bad I suppose. Next step is see what I got. Thanks

At idle? My truck will run about 50-55*f. Driving down the road lowest I see is around 32-34*. That's with high ambient temps ~100+*F

Thanks. When the rain here stops I am now inspired to see what I got. Next problem will be finding the 'I know I got one somewhere' thermometer.

You can find the thermometers in the Walmart kitchen ware section.

Interesting upgrade. I don't think that is my issue, still got some reasonable cooling but it just seems like not as good as it has been. Maybe its too hot here and too humid. Probably global warming
