tickets like that are just rediculous.....i mean there is barely any difference in how you can react in a car at those speeds...it would make sense if you were going like 60...but 47...come on...seriously...i'm lucky to live in a city where they don't give out speeding tickets...they concentrate on real issues like drugs, drunk drivers, and such....i mean yeah they would prolly stop you if you were going 100 in a 55 zone but you get my point...most speed limits are way too low anyways...like there is a highway with no houses or anything around and the limit is like 45...wtf?...why not 55?...what difference would it make?...none

I don't know how you're guys' speeding tickets are so damn cheap!?

    I've gotten 2, both were 83 in a 70, and both were 350+

    such bullshit.
Fuck California, and speeding tickets is just another "tax", so the goverment can take all of the working mans money while they sit on their asses and collect all the checks.

i drive 5mph over the speed limit...like 75 on the interstate...limit is 70...but what i hate is those 35mph zones...like i may be going 45 or 50....but still i've never gotten a speeding ticket in my life......i really think it depends on how much money the city needs that the cop works in....that's the real issue....they need money and that's a way to get it...but some cities have money so tickets aren't given out very often...i have seen so called "road work" areas where noone had been working for months...yet the speed limits stayed slower than normal...it was just a trap for cops to write tickets so the state or city could get money...that's just lame...like there was an accident on the interstate here the other day...instead of 70 speed limit they lowered it to 55 on the stretch of road where the accident happened...wtf???...accidents can happen at 55 too right?....having a wreck at either speed is gonna cause damage so basically there is no reason to do it....people use the interstate cuz it's supposed to be faster...if you wanna drive 55 you can take the highway which by the way has more accidents on it than the interstate does....go figure

This ticket was written for 44 in a 35, however he claimed he got me @ 47, I thought I was doing 45... Oh well, he did me a favor.

My first ticket, as also 44 in a 35, and was issued 400 feet from where i got my ticket last night.

Bah humbug. I should have bought a 4 cyl.

haha glad i live in alabama where they are too poor to afford things like that...rofl...no emissions tests or anything like that either...if they did that half the state wouldn't be able to drive anymore...lmao...this is the state where they sent all the clunkers from the "cash for clunkers" deal that went down...hahaha

FEMA probably. Nobody wants to admit they're FEMA. :D
I didn't think that a real street cop would post such a comment:
but it doesn't surprise me to learn that it was the comment of a special agent. Jack FTMFW Bauer!

PS: Jack, I'm just having a little fun with you here. Please don't send assassins to my house.

I don't care who he says he is, there is never a need to go 85 in a 65. There is no place to be and no situation that would merit recklessly endangering the lives of other drivers and pedestrians, PERIOD. 65 is the speed determined to be the safest rate of travel in ideal conditions, NOTHING EXEMPTS YOU FROM THAT, NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU THINK you can drive. This thread really, really pisses me off.

Yeah thats true, but in the town i got pulled over in they'll get you for any little thing they can find, but the sad thing is that most of the town is a big meth lab and nothing gets done about that.

i can't people are bitching for getting caught speeding. if you don't want the ticket, don't speed. it's a pretty simple concept.

i know i speed. i know i've paid a few fines over the years. it's not a big deal. pay the fine and move on.
