If they're over the payload rating then they're technically abusing their trucks. Their money, their truck.

With a standard bed you can mount the side boxes to the rail- buy the appropriate T-nut, screw in a stud, couple washers and a beefy wingnut- mount them on and take them off pretty easy. When you lock the box they can't be stolen (as easily).

Exactly why I asked if they came out with the 2nd gen yet! This would be perfect for him.

These are pretty practical for a weekend warrior. Pack your totes in on top, and put your most needed stuff in the drawers for easy access. You still have secure room on top for coolers, spare tire firewood etc.

I have a cab high AllPro rack, and I think it would work perfect with it. How much stuff you guys really need. I've spent 5 days out of a rock buggy with two guys, and hardly any storage.

Now, that thing is not something I'd ever use... I just don't have a use for it... but with a ton of truck stuff like that, even though I have no use for it and would never buy it...

... it's fuggin BADASS. I like seeing cool stuff for our trucks, even when I would never use it. Just shows how versatile a pickup truck is. I'm glad to be back in one!

    Hey Joe,
The system mounts to the two tailgate end cargo tie downs show above. We include those in the hardware. The cabside does require drilling three 1/4" holes and mounting a tie down and backing plate. This then connects to a bracket that you attach to the system itself. Here is a photo of the instructions for that step.
AS far as pricing goes, we are still working through that but expect it to be right around the same price as the full size truck systems so ~$1,100 +/-

Zach the Keebler Elves are working over time, so stay tuned!

Round about cost of the full size so approx $1100 +/-

    See above!

The system itself is 12" tall

Yes, we sell an after market barrel lock which locks the drawers. Ammo cans do not have locks.

We sell a product made by core which is similar to what is in your photo. These screw into the steel tubes in the deck!

    - Drawers are length of your bed depending on your bed length
    - There is a little space but not much at the cab end of the bed
    - You can take a waterproof pigtail and plug into your outlet and thread it to the tailgate end
    - We never say "waterproof" as that sounds like tupperware. They are weatherproof meaning that normal day to day weather events, car washes etc will not allow liquid into the compartments. Anything which is airborn like mist, vapor or dust could get in but not in significant amounts.

Hey Kashtyaatsi, want a job? Haha! We do say weather not water proof!

    - Unit weighs ~210 lbs for a long bed
    - Cubbies are somewhat reachable but not entirely usable
    - Mounts to tie downs in four corners which we provide
    - Fits 2005 - current model year so 2nd Gen are in!
    - System is 12" tall
    - Great questions!

    - Nothing has launched yet, but we will roll out 2005-current year when we load them to our site.

Just a note, if you would like to be the first to be notified of their availability, watch here, follow us on social @deckedusa or sign up for our newsletter https://decked.com/pages/midsize

    Awesome, thank you.

@Lots2Learn58 read this quote. This is if you're still interested in a system for your bed.

So, just to clarify, is there access or not to the 2 cubbies by the tailgate? Am I losing access to the 120v bed outlet and storage compartments? Or is there limited access? Or do I cut out holes in your $1,100 drawers?

Srpat, There is NOT access to the cubbies in this configuration. You do lose the little cubbies but you gain two massively awesome drawers so you can reach what would have been in your cubbies without doing the lunge into the bed. You lose normal access to your 120v BUT you can easily plug a short weatherproof pigtail into the outlet and thread it to your tailgate for access. Might even be some cool arts and crafts project that comes out of this! It is not advised to cut holes in your designer jeans, though that might be trendy in some parts of the country right now.
