Not sure if I'm posting in the right place... but,

My truck got egged last night. This is the THIRD:mad: time some one vandalized my car in a few months. First two times it was my 2004 Camry that got "stoned" with rocks all over the car. The damages were $2,500 and second time they came to finish the job two weeks later with an additional damage of $1,500.

Luckily, they only used eggs on my 2010 Tacoma this time. I washed it off with some soap and water and was done in 30 min. This is getting ridiculous.

I park on the street by my house as it is the ONLY place I can park. I rent a room in a house and the owners park in the garage and in the drive way. I have considered buying those cameras, but first: I can't afford them right now and, second: I doubt the cameras will do much good. In order to capture the license plate the cameras would have to be angled right, I would have to install it on the street to get that angle.

Believe me, after the second time my Camry got bashed with rocks I spent quiet a few nights in the car locked and loaded just hoping they would come back. After a couple of weeks I gave up. Now, 3 months later they are back at it. I sure hope I don't catch them doing it or I will be doing life for a first degree

or......... if your really trying to teach em a lesson
12 gauge NON-lethal rounds (rubber bullets)

they make aftermarket alarms that go off if someone even looks at your truck wrong. I think the remote on your keys start going off too on some models. i would look into something along those lines

some one last summer basically dumped a carton of eggs on my new F250...So I installed numerous motion sensor flood lights around my house that went off whenever a car drove by. Im talking like 8 - 10 lights....ever since then not even the neighbors walk in front of my house anymore. Works like a charm :) then again I think the illuminated shotgun behind my front door next to the american flag helps too...

The problem is that there is no pattern as far as when they do it. I can't live in my truck for months and months. I did camp out for a couple of days, but after a while your back starts hurting from sleeping in the seat.

That would definitely be a problem. I realize there isn't much you can do. Good luck catching those punks.

Flood lights and cameras would be the only reasonable option but I can't afford any of that right now. I'm going to keep a close eye on the street and camp out AGAIN for a few days, doubt they will be back that soon...
