Bikes and trucks are replaceable. Good thing you are both alright. I'm rather surprised the biker is okay! That's quite a hit.

Kinda looks like the biker dropped his bike and it slid underneath your truck. You can kinda see how it cut into the asphalt.

That was a nice truck man. Time to get a 2nd gen!!

Hope you have good insurance and a good lawyer that dude is going to sue, the truck is fixable.

I would contact your city roads dept and ask them to put up a sign indicateing blind driveways ahead.

From the sounds of it, the tacoma

Without a story, it would look like the bike went wide and crossed the line. The two don't add up

Im a body shop estimator/manager. IMHO, your truck looks like a total loss. Tacomas do hold their value very well (at least here in Calif....In Feb I was paid over 18K for my 04 Pre Runner), so I wouldnt worry too much, yet. Amazing the kid on the Kawi was OK?? Feel for you both! But thank goodness nobody was hurt. Who is your Ins Co.? Was fault determined yet?

On a side note, heres a link to a recent local Tacoma hit 4-Runner accident. Too bad the 4-Runner looked pretty sweet:

Looks like the kid on the bike was going waaay to fast, although the argument that you as the other driver should be looking out for is the one the other party is going to make : "He pulled out in front of me" they'll say. Hopefully theres skid marks long enough & visible enough to get an accurate read showing he was traveling to fast & if there isn't ? Well sorry to say dude , they could well find you at fault for violation of his right of way, blind spot or not.......

If the skid marks up to point of impact determine that the bike was exceeding the speed limit, the case has been made, the bike is at fault..
