Nice truck! I'd choosen the 6 speed manual also with a V-6.

Next time be a little more specific what you need. ;)
There are two rows of 7 wire holes on the connector.
Looking at the connector from wire side with squeeze tab down I will list the holes starting as "1" in top left and "14" bottom right.

    1-Red
    5-Yellow
    6-Black taped?
    7-Black with single silver dot
    8-Green
    9-White w/dark line
    10-Red
    13-White
    14-Red

I could not notice any difference between the reds. 9 wires in total.

Are you trying to figure out if the 2012 mirror with the backup camera that has the guidelines will fit 2009+? If so, I would like to know as well.

I just got mine a few days ago and the transmission seems a bit weird to me too. But one of my buddies that it takes a few thousand miles for the transmission to get use to your shifting habits (whatever that means). Hes owned 2 manuals and thats what he told me. But im going to continue to break it in gently and see if i notice some difference....

I am also getting use to driving a manual again so it might just be me too.

Think your buddy meant an automatic, manual is just that manual and all you and shifting, the auto uses a computer to predict shifting/when to shift, etc. When I bought my KIA and Ranger new they both did this, dealer warned me first hand and its actually stated in the owners manual. Dont think the manual is the same, but could be wrong.

"Buff" or any other 2012 owners. Does your truck have the ambient temp sensor at the front middle behind of the truck and the grill like the 2005-2011's do?

Looks great, the 6 spd is nice no down shifting with cruse on and no problem if or when you get 33" tires. I do a lot of 1st 2nd 4th 6th driving.

Mr. ed, yeah I skip a lot of gears too. I haven't ran through a tank of gas yet so I'm not sure what MPGs I'm getting. I try to get it into 6th as much as possible. It really is geared too low but at the same time you can run at 40mph and be in 6th. Even will accelerate pretty well.

cpaul, yes that is the all weather flooring. I really like it. One drawback is just a little bit of dirt or dust and your floor looks dirty. Also my dog slips all over the place when jumping in. I was worried about the quality and how long it will last but after seeing it, its really solid stuff.

Changing gears at 2500 seems kinda low to me. Is that normal for other MT guys? I would think at least 3000... Is this for breaking in the engine?

I'm confused. Did they change something in 2012 that they haven't posted to the Toyota site or did I just miss it. They've never offered the double cab off-road pkg with a manual (or I would have had it in my '08). Everything I've found and the dealer has confirmed says the off-road pkg and double cab means you get the short bed and an auto.
Here's hoping I just missed something and can get the manual when I upgrade in the next month or so...

deadhed, I try to shift at 2000 to improve MPG. 3000 seems best for performance but probably would drop mpg.

cvillechopper, I have a DCSB offroad 4x4 manual. The manual only comes with 4x4. Are you talking about a prerunner or 4x4? I can say without a doubt it does come in manual. haha.

Maybe its different in different areas. I dunno but I own one.
