love my besttop. If you have a regular cab...here's how you can store the windows if you want to drive without them in or just lower the top.

Ive had mine for a couple of months, does great at highway speeds, up to about 80, windows in or out...gets kinda shakey if its not on the tightest setting. Great for camping, and hauling stuff that needs to be dry. The only think i dont like about it is that i get about 1-2 mpg less with it on....go figure. Looks GREAT on the Silver Taco!!!

canvas tops are cool but expensive. I think if anyone else has a canvas top they should post up w/ a pic. I'm sure there are ALOT of people looking for ideas and would love to have feedback and pics.

For reference, the Softopper does have a decent blind spot. However after going to a taco meet this past weekend, I'd say that it's a toss up between the two, as there were a few bestops. I was the only softopper, so i got alot of attention.

My observations were, the material is pretty much the same. The softopper seems more water proof, as there is less "spots/ways" for water to seep/get in, however this is just eye balling it. The softopper sides definitely get up and out of the way much quicker and easier than the bestop, however again, they are solid sides, no windows.

All in all, i don't think you can go wrong w/ either. Think it's a matter of utility and what you're doing. If you're wheeling the shit out of it...it's a catch 22. It's nice to have the visibility of a bestop but the side durability of a softopper (as in no windows to get stripped, as a few were)

pretty much a hard top is 3-500 more. I bought it just b/c i thought it was cool. They'll run you about 700. the nice thing w/ the softopper is you can get a front and rear screen window, in addition to the plastic. Too me that's huge if you camp etc.

still fairly pricey...after shipping and tax your looking at about $700 + ...for a few more hundered you could get a leer. But I will say it looks good and I like them...just if Im gonna do something like that I think i will fo for the Leer. But it is just personal preference. Looks good though I do like them
