If you have some basic tools I say do it yourself. Its not too hard. And you get the sense of accomplishment. Ucas are easy. And if you dont get the shocks and coils assymbled, then all you do is take them to a shop and have them comprees the coils onto the shocks for like $40 then you put those in.

sounds like a pretty sweet setup man. def no need for 4x4 where you are at....the good thing about a 6" lift is that your cv joint angles remain pretty much stock look so you do not have to worry about the boots busting or joint failing like you do on a 3" lift

    Cuz its a FORD!:p
Yea. I think though that they have to cut the front crossmember on 4x4's when you do a 6".

You mean switch the 6 and 3?

the good thing about a 6" lift is that your cv joint angles remain pretty much stock look so you do not have to worry about the boots busting or joint failing like you do on a 3" lift

Yea. Get those OME front shocks with the coils and your good to go. If you want, you can run the top plate spacer too. Its 1/4" and provides i think either 1/2" or 3/4" lift.

For offroading, a good rule of thumb is to stuff the biggest tire under the smallest lift.

6" is a little big for a lot of offroading styles. Just depends on what you want to do.

You can tackle everything in a full day. If you are doing the aal for the rear you can even do that another day. You can drive with just the front lifted. The rear shocks take like 20 minutes tops to install. Grab a friend to help too.
