Here is a pic from the front tire.

Please remember, I am fighting the fact that he stated they stick out 2 - 3 " beyond the fender...

I love pictures cause they tell 1000 words :)

I've never seen a story that changed so much. Your original post says you got pulled over for no mudflaps and tires sticking out 3-4". The ticket says you failed to stop and your tires stick out 2-3" beyond your flares. Nothing about the mudflaps. Seems like you need to man up and pay your ticket.

Like I said I didn't get a ticket for the stop sign. He prob used that to pull me over. On the back of the ticket has no mud flaps and all of my personal info that's why I didn't post it

Nice deceiving pic. Look at your sig pic for a truthful picture.

I do not get how people cannot admit guilt. Tire sticks out past the body line due to after market modification. Plain and simple obvious, there is nothing to argue here.

I would not want to drive behind you on any road due to what you would kick/throw up. Rocks can break windshields and in the rain the wash out it throws up on a highway would be horrible.

The body is a little rounded but from the top Down they do not stick out. Also this is the same specs when Fabtech did my lift rims and tires witch should be 50 state legal

What's the fine for running a stop sign? Maybe he did you a favor. I wouldn't want to go before a judge and try to argue the mudflaps when it's written on the ticket that you ran a stop sign. I just don't see the judge helping you out once he's heard the officer's story.

If you read the ticket he said I stopped but I didn't stop at the line or 6ft from the line so he put I ran the stop sign witch I did not. The stop sign fine world have been 97 and the mud flap is also 97 There is nothing for fender that is why he selected no mud flaps witch is wrong

    I'll say...

if you (OP) go to court with the demeanor/attitude that comes through in this thread...

the Judge just may make an example of you.

    good luck.

This is likely going to be the problem.
It allows an exemption for mudflaps, fenders, aprons, or flares if the body of the vehicle covers the width of the tread.

In applying the "reasonable person" test, the judge is likely to read it that if the body does not cover the width of the tread, that whatever protective device is installed needs to cover it.

    OP, you're fuck'd!

Just pay the fine and be done with it. And hope that your truck is not "marked" now.

Have a beer, smoke some maui wowie or whatever it is that you do to RELAX.

cheers, and sorry this happened to you :(

Right or wrong it should be fought I have never lost. Ticket Just thought I would share with the forum because I find this ticket to be silly and a waist of my time and the courts time

no, I'm saying being pissed at the cop is not going to win you anything. And it would be you who uses the courts time (or wastes...your words), should you choose to pursue it.

    good luck

Facts, look at his sig picture. Guilty as charged. Nice grammar, btw.

Watch the video posted on this page and it shows vehicle from all angles with tires beyond the body line.

Only person wasting time is the OP. Not trying to crap on anyone stating the truth.

Lets be honest a law is a law, whether we agree or not. I would not be upset that you or I broke the law, but I would show anger to a law being in place if it is old and outdated or does not serve a purpose. In this case the law exists, for safety.
