Man, it's a reverse lottery. The law is the law. Just like when I get a parking ticket cause I'm 5 minutes late to get to my truck, a cell phone ticket cause I was caught with the phone in my hand, and when you're going with the flow of traffic but you are the one who gets pulled over. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is.

Good point , I never meant to have people get all pissy, just "in my opinion" its a waist of an officers time :/

I am a good driver, local business owner, I support the local cop programs. I am not just some punk kid ya know..

I feel like there is no respect when he pulled me over , that's why its under my skin....

The photos of your truck show a clear violation of the law as posted (other than you phoney angled pic with the tape measure). The law is the same here, pretty much standard north america wide, even if rarely enforced in many areas. I'm certain the officer could have found other violations if you have 9" of lift, such as exceeding maximum headlamp height as per FMVSS regulations. Go ahead, fight it, the officer is clearly an ass, right?

False...most judges know not too if you are a local guy. Cops and family members of cops have disappeared here without a trace..they know not to fuck around. ;)

Best thing the judge can do is dismiss it by prejudice.

OP (aka Wizzard005) ... I watched your youtube video from you home page ... for your sake I hope the judge isn't internet savvy ... as I said, you're suspect.

So after work today I went and got clarification of what i would be in violation of... From what I was told, if the tire fits into the fender then you do not need mud flaps. If the tire sticks out of the fender then you do need mud flaps.

There is nothing that says the mud flaps must be the width of the tire, it simply says you must have them

So i asked the shop if I was to safety my truck with you, would you pass it?

    Their answer was yes....

So that will be my case... The judge can decide from there, but my truck does have mud flaps when the officer clearly said it did not

are you telling us that local law enforcement officers in your area are afraid to do their job in fear of actual or percieved threats toward their family or themselves?

or, are you just internet nut-swinging?

That's why in CA we have Penal Code section: "69. Every person who attempts, by means of any threat or violence, to deter or prevent an executive officer from performing any duty imposed upon such officer by law, or who knowingly resists, by the use of force or violence, such officer, in the performance of his duty, is punishable by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170, or in a county jail not exceeding one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment."

why would I say sorry to you? I don't know you, or have any ill will or sorrow toward you. (although I am an avid reader, and may add your recommendation to my bookshelf)

I asked another member a question based on a very provocative post made. You choose to answer my post so I am replying here.

I do have questions for you though, does this violation (ticket) you recently recieved have driving points attached? and what is the dollar amount of the fine? (apoligies if this has been posted and I missed it)

I do not think it has any driving points attached, but its a 100.00 ticket..... In hawaii some people have monster trucks LOL, those are the ones that should get these kind of tickets.. If you were here , you would know what some of the other members ment, my truck is very miled.....

Also the tires do stick out I would say about 1" in some places, however the factory fenders should be good enough... the body of the truck still is out more then the tires...

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I know it sucks op. But clearly the gentleman who stated cops and judges are afraid of people is completly stupid. I just want to let you know that when someone post something of that nature on your thread it could make you look bad. They do have cops who track shit online.

Just pay the fine, or get bigger flaps to show the court that you have taken care of the issue even though you are in the right (in your words). GL ,

BTW, Im unsubbing due to the duchebagger fuck who implied harm to police.
