    Question:

I am seriously thinking about getting one of these but how to you keep the winch line nice and tidy when reeling it back in since the winch is buried behind the bumper? I know aftermarket bumpers are the same but I never owned one.

I had a Jeep LJ with a Smitty XRC10 but the winch was exposed so I could reel the line in nice and neat when done using it.

You can see the winch cable/rope by opening the hood & looking down behind the grill & bumper cover.BTW, that synthetic rope reels in better it tends to go on the spool without getting crossed up as much. At least mine does. Maybe cause i have the 3/8".

It is for sure at this point in time $390 shipped. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and am very please with the quality of the mount. I bought a new Warn VR8000 winch for $399 and it fits the mount perfect.

Jdmdcfan, pretty much what wombat said. That is the price for now. Shipped in the U.S. 48 states. This is a temporary lowered price from the 4$$ that you seen before. Btw your not going to see it any cheaper then this price again. This is a TEMPORARY lowered price. Not sure how long it will stay this way. Thanks & let me know if you have any other questions.

Both look really good guys. Coop, my only question is arn't you pushing the limits of that winch with your truck? 6000 lbs winch will only pull 6000lbs on the last wrap of the cable, otherwise its not going to pull the full amount. Usually you would want at least 8000lbs winch unless you have a Samari or something small like that

Mitch, winch is 21 years old. Dad gave it to me as present. I don't do any serious offroad in this truck. If i get stuck ,it will be from slick mud- sliding off road and suck. It will do fine . Also have snatch block if I need 2x power .

I know im reving a old thread, but if i can get this shipped to Candaland i would be interested in dropping one of these on my 12'.

but coop, i have a few questions for you, now that you have had your mount on for around a year, how is it holding up? how much have you used it? with the controller you put inside do you need to use the remote plugged in from outside going into the window? and do you have a picture of your switch set up inside the cab?

I have only used it a couple of times to hoist animals up to skin on hunting trips. I'm not much for playing in the mud anymore! It is still very solid. I did replace grill to give me more room to hook up controller. When needed ..I never took the time to run it inside the cab. I catch alot of truck guys looking and pointing to it still

oh, good stuff, I would really like to know how it would hold up pulling another taco or a jeep. always wanted a solid front bumper but with the 885's i just bought i do not know if it will weight the front to much for the 885's.

The controller inside would be very handy. what did you replace your grill with? i want a grillcraft grill so ill probably end up having to open my hood every time.

Good to know that its still holding up after a year.
